All contain Schoeller's visually stunning, color-saturated headshots, which have captured the most recognizable personalities of our time. With his signature unflinching close-ups, Munich-born Schoeller has created an entirely new form of portraiture. In his most recent monograph, FEMALE BODYBUILDERS, Schoeller turns his camera to a little known subject, shooting the personalities of the female bodybuilding circuit with the same deft care he has used in his portraits of Barack Obama and Angelina Jolie. MARTIN SCHOELLER'S work has appeared in ROLLING STONE, GQ, ESQUIRE, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY and W MAGAZINE. Since 1999, he has been a contract photographer for THE NEW YORKER. His portraits are exhibited in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian Institution, among others.
